Nextlink Internet, an internet service provider focused on rural communities across the Central United States, has been chosen as “Operator of the Year” by its colleagues in the internet service provider (ISP) industry.

Nextlink is providing high speed internet service to harder to reach areas in America’s heartland. Now they are currently expanding their fiber optic technology footprint to homes and businesses throughout Lampasas, Texas. The fiber network they have designed and are implementing will allow for dedicated broadband speeds – up to 1 Gbps initially and multiple Gbps in the future.

Central Valley Ag (CVA) announced today it is expanding access to broadband internet to residents of Duncan, Elgin, Humphrey, Monroe, Oakland, Petersburg, Platte Center, Randolph, St. Edward, Wakefield and West Point, Neb, and the surrounding communities in collaboration with internet service provider Nextlink, Land O’Lakes and Microsoft’s Airband Initiative.

Frontier Cooperative is excited to announce a collaboration with Microsoft, Land O’Lakes and internet service provider Nextlink to expand broadband internet access to residents and commercial business areas within a 5 to 10 mile radius of several of Frontier Coop’s locations. Nextlink will install high-speed broadband technology to nearly 30 Frontier elevator facilities, improving access to broadband connectivity throughout the area. This effort to improve internet connectivity aims to directly benefit residents in these rural areas who currently lack adequate broadband service at home.

In the FCC’s Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) Phase I auction which closed in December 2020, Nextlink Internet was named a provisional winner of $429.2 million in federal support over the next 10 years to bring high-speed Internet service to more than 206,000 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

As part of an ongoing expansion of broadband internet and voice services in small towns and rural markets across the central USA, Nextlink Internet today announced it has acquired three internet service providers (ISPs) in Nebraska and Iowa.

Nextlink Internet today announced it has acquired SkyWave Broadband Internet, an internet service provider operating in Texas and headquartered in Fate, Texas, as part of Nextlink’s expansion of broadband and voice services in small towns and rural markets across the central USA.
