Nextlink Partners with DISH

HUDSON OAKS, TEXAS – Businesses and homes within Nextlink Internet’s expanding coverage area now have the option to add video services to their internet plans under a new partnership between Nextlink and DISH Network.

Nextlink Internet joins a select group of internet service providers (ISPs) in the United States who have partnered with DISH through the company’s DISH Alliance Group. The DISH business unit is dedicated to supporting ISPs that are interested in providing best-in-class video offerings to their customers.

“Our partnership with DISH means our customers can now meet their internet, video and phone needs through one great team,” said Steve Burks, Nextlink VP of Sales Operations. “DISH offers our customers excellent TV entertainment options, including the company’s flagship satellite television and its live streaming service, Sling TV.

“DISH’s track record of outstanding customer service and their focus on under-served rural areas aligns perfectly with Nextlink’s mission of closing the digital divide with unparalleled services in our rural markets,” Burks added.

Nextlink Internet, based in Hudson Oaks, Texas, is a provider of high-speed internet and voice services to residential, business, institutional and government customers in mostly rural and small-town areas. The company uses a mix of “fixed wireless” as well as fiber-optic network technologies to deliver internet access. For residential customers, data plans go as high as 100 megabits per second (Mbps) with fixed wireless or 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) with fiber, with no data caps or limits. Business customers can design custom links in excess of 1 Gbps.

Since its founding in 2012, Nextlink has attracted more than 36,000 broadband subscribers in Texas and Oklahoma. In 2018, Nextlink won a competitive bid for $281 million in support over 10 years from the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Connect America Fund (CAF), which is helping the company deploy broadband services to more than 100,000 homes and businesses in six states: Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
