Nextlink Bringing Fiber to Lampasas

Nextlink Internet expands its Gigabit City list to include Lampasas TX making fast, reliable speeds a reality for the local community.

LAMPASAS, TX – Nextlink is providing high speed internet service to harder to reach areas in America’s heartland. Now they are currently expanding their fiber optic technology footprint to homes and businesses throughout Lampasas, Texas. The fiber network they have designed and are implementing will allow for dedicated broadband speeds – up to 1 Gbps initially and multiple Gbps in the future. This will enable its subscribers to have seamless access to telehealth, remote work capabilities, and streaming educational resources.

“Providing opportunities for reliable, high speed internet service has been a top priority for our elected and appointed officials. The City is pleased to be working with Nextlink to meet the needs of our residents and businesses,” says, Finley deGraffenried, Lampasas City Manager. The City of Lampasas has been on a mission to provide high speed broadband service to the citizens of Lampasas and have effectively built a successful relationship with Nextlink to make that dream a reality.

With this fiber build, the City of Lampasas has been the example of what a public/private partnership should look like. We worked hand in hand, candidly, together, towards a common goal to offer unprecedented, cutting edge, future proof fiber service designed to serve not only homes and small businesses alike, but also enterprise level business connections that rival anything from the big city,” states Chris Huffman, Nextlink’s Area Maintenance Manager.

Nextlink is currently providing Gigabit and soon multiple Gigabit levels of service to those within Lampasas’ city limits. Currently, West Lampasas is operational as well as all the businesses and residents along Key Avenue. The Downtown District is currently underway – construction is complete, and circuits are being prepared to go live in the next 4 weeks. The multi-million dollar fiber optic network has been designed, built, and financed by Nextlink to make the City of Lampasas stand out among rural communities.

Service plans are available for residential, business, and commercial entities. Residential plans start with 25 Mbps for $59/mo. and extends to 1 Gig for $119/mo.. Nextlink is currently running a promotion: FREE installation and get 1 Gig for $99/mo. for the first year!
