Hot Spots for Student Access
Like most companies, Nextlink is focused on the health and wellbeing of our employees and those we serve. Nextlink provides several cities with park area hotspots that are now being enhanced, coverage broadened, and new outdoor hotspots for students at their schools. At the onset of the pandemic, Nextlink received numerous calls from rural communities and from the school districts in them.
Nextlink serves over 90 ISDs and while we received numerous calls from our own districts, we heard from numerous more that don’t have a solution from their primary provider for distance-learning and students without internet. The following sites were recently added for student and other access Free Wi-Fi installs that the teams have done:
- City of Hudson Oaks – two locations
- Springtown High School
- Springtown Middle School
- Springtown Football Field
- Intermediate School
- Goshen Creek Elementary
- Reno ISD
- Brenham Fire Depart Training Center
