Nextlink Named Among America’s Fastest-Growing Companies (Again!)

HUDSON OAKS, Texas – For the sixth time since 2017, Nextlink Internet appears on Inc. Magazine’s list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

The “Inc. 5000” list for 2023 ranks Nextlink’s parent company, AMG Technology Investment Group, at number 3,052 among 5,000 companies with the highest percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. The company’s revenue growth over that three-year period was 170%.

Since the company’s first appearance on the list in 2017, annual revenues have grown from approximately $16 million to $135 million, and the number of employees has grown from 130 to over 1,000.

“We’re delighted to continue our streak of rapid growth, and the sources of that growth are pretty straightforward,” said Bill Baker, Founder and CEO of Nextlink Internet. “We offer critically important high-speed internet and voice services and a better customer experience in rural and smalltown markets across America, where these services are desperately needed. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and we have so much more we’re working to achieve.”

Within the coming months, Nextlink is planning on passing more than 100,000 homes with fiber and deploying widespread gigabit wireless. Earlier this year, the company announced it is almost two years ahead of schedule in its broadband network construction under the federal CAF II program, having built 70% of its required locations across six states. Nextlink also has been rolling out 5x the network speeds required of CAF II program participants, and it is planning to increase speeds to 10x CAF II program requirements in many areas.

“We expect to continue our rapid growth through rapid infrastructure deployment and a laser-focus on doing the right thing for all of our stakeholders, especially our customers,” said Bill Baker. “If you’re doing right by the customer, good things follow.”
