E-Rate Funding and Education – Not as Easy as ABC

E-Rate provides affordable access to telecommunications services for all eligible schools and libraries. Funded at up to $2.25 billion annually, this program provides discounts on telecommunications services, internet access and internal connections. The hope is that the E-Rate funding process is as easy as ABC: Apply, Begin Services, Collect Funds. However, what some rural Texas schools and districts find is that the E-Rate process is very complicated. The good news is, we can consult with you to understand those ABC’s better and get your school or library on the right path to receiving federal funds to upgrade your technologies.

NEXTLINK’s Education staff has a combined 20 years of experience in completing E-Rate paperwork and in assisting their customers with discounted bills. Why pick NEXTLINK? We are “Internet Made Easy” and now… E-Rate Made Easy.

We invite you to contact us. We’d be happy to answer your E-Rate funding questions or schedule a more involved meeting at your school or district.

Many schools and districts are only now applying to use E-rate aid to help with the common-core assessments, though some that anticipated that challenge are already using federal funds for that purpose, according to those who advise school districts on the E-rate or are familiar with the program. — <//>
